We talk all things manifesting money, and of course, real estate. I'm your host, Bekkah, Marie. And just like you, I'm a real estate agent, I went from struggling to get clients to making over six figures consistently, while working 15 hours or less each week. And now I coach women like you on how to do the same. Listen for real life examples and tips in every episode on how to massively increase your income and find your freedom with ease. You're here because you're ready to change your life, your business and your financial status. So let's do it. Hello, hello, Queens, welcome back to manifesting in real estate, I want you to think about what your dream business looks like. What would that look like to you? Like? How much money are you making? How are you getting the business that you're getting? What are your feelings? Thoughts? Like? What's your schedule? Like? I mean, really, what would a dream business look like to you, your dream lifestyle. And if you've thought about this before, if this is something you're like, always thinking about because you're moving towards it. Amazing, you're able to bring this vision up right away. And if this is your first time thinking about this, you don't think about this, that often. You may just think like, I just want to have a good consistent business, I want to have the success. I want to have a good income. And you know, maybe I don't want it to be too stressful. But there's not a lot of clarity around. What do you really want. Most of the time when I'm talking to my commission greens about this, and they're feeling not totally sure in their vision or not lit up by their vision of what that dream business or dream lifestyle looks like. It's two things. It's one is getting clarity around it, instead of having this broad, vague ideas. It's getting clarity and specific on the numbers on the time on, like, really how things feel. And the other thing is, they're not thinking big enough. It's not big enough where this vision is lighting you up driving you and you're so excited about it, when we think about what we actually want, what that would really look like if we went bigger. It's scary. Because you're thinking, is this actually going to happen? Am I going to be letting myself down just by thinking that I could potentially do these big huge things, when things aren't really going that well in my business anyways, right now. Or maybe your business is going awesome. And so you just don't want to think about anything else. Because you're like, okay, my business is great. So I'm not going to complain about what type of lifestyle or whatever I want. Maybe you're overwhelmed and busy by everything that you're doing. But I'm a big believer in having the business and the lifestyle that you dream about like that, that is completely 100% Something you can do and have without all of the extreme hustle. And the very first step is getting real with what you actually want. Not what you think that you should want, not what you think other people want you to have or without why you think the real estate industry says it is successful. What do you want to have? What does that look like for you? When I finally got real with myself of what I wanted, it seemed impossible at the time, but I got really clear on it, like really, really clear that this is exactly what I want. And anything else that is not this, I am not going to pursue I am only pursuing the lifestyle, the dream real estate career that I want. And for me that looked like having a lot of freedom, not having a lot of working hours, and being referral based, meaning my leads my clients are coming to me. I am not having to chase after them. I'm literally attracting them. I am not having to overly pursue them. They are pursuing me. And I wanted to have an amazing income with all of those things combined. I'm a projector and human design and if you know anything about human design, that means my energy type is pretty low. Like I like to conserve my energy. And it's best if I wait for the invitation that meaning as clients come to me and say hey, I want to work with you. It is the dream way for me to do business. I feel best doing that. I don't feel overexerted and I feel so alive and driven by that feeling that clients asked me to work with me instead of the opposite way around. Now in real estate, you know that the majority of real estate will teach you that you have to chase, you have to hustle. And maybe after you've been in the business for years, or if you have a huge marketing budget or something, maybe then clients will come to you. But otherwise, it's all about it's a numbers game. It's all about, you know, reaching out to people and asking them for the referrals and all of these things, which didn't align with me at all. I tried all of those things. And the thing is, everything will work. If you work it, everything works with consistency. But I just couldn't bring myself to be consistent with those ways of getting business, because they were so misaligned, and there was so much resistance there. And maybe you felt this way too, like you love the business, you love real estate, you love helping people buy or sell homes, but the getting business portion, the lead generation portion is not aligning with you and you haven't yet found your dreamy way to start getting business without having a way that totally aligns with you lights you up something that you enjoy. And that would be sustainable to get business, it's going to be hard to get business, and then it's going to be hard to succeed in this career long term. Now, if you do have some ways that you think, okay, yeah, I feel like I can do this, there's some things I can do to connect with my sphere and things like that, that seem more aligned with you. But you're still feeling resistance. The other part of that is the money mindset around things. So maybe you are connecting with your sphere, because that feels really good to you. So you are getting business, but it still is not enough, maybe you're not getting enough business, it's not consistent enough. Or maybe you're getting business and you are not charging what you know you're worth and what you should be charging. And maybe you're giving discounts or commission cuts are your way of working. And so the income matching the work like it isn't adding up to be sustainable and feel like a dreamy business, dreamy lifestyle for you. Or maybe the leads are showing up. But for whatever reason, you're not closing them. All of these scenarios that I'm mentioning, these are all symptoms of one main problem. And that is your money, mindset, your relationship with money, your thoughts around money, your worthiness around money. And when we work on these two things, when we work on our strategy, and when we work on our money mindset, things begin to happen, business begins to flow, and the lifestyle begins to form. And it all starts with getting really, really specific on what you actually want. And we actually get faced with our money mindset right away when we are looking into getting clarity on what we want. So today, if you take time to journal about what would it look like to actually have the lifestyle and the dream career that I desire? Right away, you're going to be faced with your beliefs around? What does it take to make this type of income?
8:28
What does it take to get this type of business? So right away, you have to suspend your disbelief like you have to say, Okay, if anything were possible, literally anything were possible. What would I want? What would my desires be? If it were all possible for me in the way that I want it to be possible in the timeframe that I want it to be possible? What does that look like? For a lot of you the idea of being a referral based business, having those leads come to you, and having a lot of freedom in your business. If that is aligning, and you're like, oh, my gosh, that is exactly what I want. And that would be amazing. But maybe you've been dealing with the idea that you have to work harder in order to make more money or you have to work a certain amount of hours in order to receive a number of clients at whatever the belief is around that. Let me tell you why I absolutely love referrals and what that looks like and the money mindset piece around that, what it looks like on an average month for how many hours to put in, in order to receive consistent clients. When I initially wrote down my desires, I wrote down that I wanted to travel 12 times a year, make six figures work 20 hours or less each week and be a referral based realtor to me because of my beliefs at the time and because of my experience at the time. That felt like dreaming so crazy, but Egg. And now I'm at a point where I'm like, Oh my gosh, I was dreaming small like that, that looks so small to me. And it looks so easy. Because of where I am now. And because of my experience now. So we're all going to deal with that, as you're writing out what your desires are, there may be some things that feel like crazy, big dreams to you, and just know that you will hit them. And you will be able to look back and say, Wow, that was like, not even that much. Okay, so with the 20 hours a week, and being referral based business, and the six figures, let's talk about that. I in that first year, did that. And then I was like, Okay, what if I could tweak it a little bit more. So I started lessening my working hours, getting really, really secure around my boundaries with my time and like what I'm actually doing. And so I was able to drop my working hours down way less than 20 hours a week, and I continued to do that consistently, continued to lessen my working hours. And the way that I was able to do that is by making sure that I'm getting rid of anything, that is just busy work. And it's not actually serving me or my business or my clients. So I got rid of a lot of things that were taking up time. And then I delegated, it's important to look at first what you can get rid of and what you don't actually need before delegating things that are unnecessary, and then you're just going to be, you know, probably paying for it to delegate something that isn't necessary. So look to see, you know, what's my return on investment, am I actually is this tied to any successful portion of my business that's bringing in clients or keeping clients or anything like that, if it's not get rid of it, and delegate every single thing else. So for me, I brought my working hours down to 10 hours or less each week, and that's on average. So some weeks, I honestly wouldn't need to do any type of work at all. Or maybe it's just like, two to three hours for the whole week. And other weeks, it may end up being a little bit more depending on what I'm doing. Or like what the clients are like during that time. So that's always gonna ebb and flow a little bit. But the main thing was knowing that I'm not just putting in hours just to put them in, I knew exactly the activities that needed to be done. And once those activities were done, you know, I call them my money making activities. Once I completed my money making activities, then I'm done. Like, I don't need to do all this extra stuff to feel busy. I did those and I know that those attract, and bring in clients. And then the rest of the time. I am taking care of clients and doing client appointments, doing showings if I am doing that. So let's say right now you are somebody that is working around a 40 hour work week, I would be curious to know how often? Or how many of those hours are you working face to face with clients, how many of those 40 hours are face to face in seller buyer consultations or showings things that are really face to face with your clients. And how much of that is marketing, how much of that is just busy work something else maybe it's emails, calls, whatever, how much of it is lead generating, and break it down, figure out what that is. Now, for most people you're face to face time with your clients probably isn't going to be over 15 hours a week, assuming you're not spending more than two hours per appointment with clients. That's saying that you're working with all seven or so of your clients if you have seven active clients at once, all in the week. Now, if you have longer appointments than that, let's look at why are they longer, you know, for some people, I know people are driving further, and they their market is just more spread out. And so a lot of that is with driving. So even with that, if that's you that driving takes up a lot of your time, you know, let's call it 20 hours a week or so that are face to face with your people or have to do directly with your clients. So even with 20 hours of working directly with your clients. And if you're working that 40 hour week, what is happening the rest of the 20 hours. As you break it down. You may see that a lot of that is busy work and if it has to do with you having that many clients amazing, we love it. And let's look at how can we support you so that it's not 40 hours of just working with with clients, that's the time to bring in showing it sistent, a buyer's agent, I
15:05
mean, anything that can help you with that time to support you, in closing more deals. If you're working with like five clients or so at once, and it's taking 40 plus hours a week, then there's something happening there that we need to figure out, is it something about the client process that needs to get refined, is it just busy work that we need to work with, but if you're someone who is carrying about 10 clients, or less at a time, you absolutely can bring down those working hours. I mean, even as you get above, working with 10, out 10 clients at a time, there are just things that you can put in place, you delegating different pieces, so you can still bring down the working hours. So if your goal is to work 20 hours or less each week, that is let's call it 10 hours, or even 15 hours, working directly with your clients, and five hours can go towards your money making activities, it really doesn't have to be more than that lead generating in the real estate industry, people always tell you, you know, you have to lead generate two to three hours per day, and it's too much, it's too much. And the way that you decide to do your lead generating the things you choose to do when they align with you. And the strategy is there, you will get more business, just working those couple of hours per week, or even bi weekly, than if you were to constantly just like hammer the phones or whatever, two to three hours a week. And if you're doing that, that's amazing. And you're probably able to get a lot of business. It's just that is it sustainable? Is it something that you enjoy is it actually how you want to build your business, if your strategy to build your business is something that you hate to do, or it's something that requires you to be working constantly, the minute that you aren't able to do that, or that you kind of let it go, or you're busy or something happens. Or you go on vacation, your business dips. And is that really what you want. So you want to build a system, having a strategy that brings you business, even when you're not working it all the time, just like how you want passive income, so that if you ever want to take time off working, you still have money working for you and income coming in, you want to create a passive lead generating system. So passive leads are coming in even when you're not working, the leads are coming to you. So if you want to work 20 hours a week, let's say 15 hours is with clients, five hours is your money making activities. If you want to bring it down to 10 hours or less each week, let's call it five or so hours working with clients, and five or so hours doing your money making activities. And sometimes it'll just be client work that week. And you don't have to do anything with your money making activities. I love to have the freedom. So sometimes I'm not doing any work for three out of the four weeks of the month. And just one week of the month, I'm doing my money making activities feels so good, so freeing, to have that time and to also know that, that it doesn't have to be this huge hustle thing, that if you have the right strategy in place, you're still getting the business coming in. And that is what is so beautiful about referrals. Building a referral based real estate business is so much easier than you've been taught or that you've heard. It is so easy to build because the people already know like and trust you. And it's staying top of mind, it's staying in front of them in an authentic way. So that they are telling everybody they know that is buying and selling to work with you. It's going to take less time overall because you're getting the lead and you are going right away into the buying and selling process usually, because when you're working with cold leads, you know that a big part of your time is probably filled with follow up follow up of just calling all of these cold leads and continually trying to get them to work with you. So the referral process is so wonderful because when you're looking at what does it look like to have a 10 hour 15 hour or less workweek it's literally just the times that you're working with clients while you're doing your money making activities, there's so little follow up that you have to do, because they come ready to work with you. The follow up is a barely a piece I think about, because it's just not something that I need to do as clients are ready to work with me. And they keep me updated, I'm happy to follow up with them if it makes sense. But it's not like I have this big list of 100 people per week that I have to follow up with and try to get a response from. The other thing that is so beautiful about referrals is that the money that you put into your marketing to create a referral based business is going to be significantly less than if you put a lot of money into your marketing or into cold leads, or you know, buying online leads, those things are so expensive. And when you're taking just a portion of that money and putting it towards your sphere towards your community, it goes so much farther. So we love referrals, because they are so dreamy as they come to you. They are the ones pursuing you saying hey, I want to work with you. And we love referrals because they take so much less time in the way that you acquire them, but also in the way that you have to you know, don't follow up as much, and they are ready to go. And we love referrals because they cost so much less than marketing for a cold lead. And there's just something so fulfilling about building a business with the people that know like and trust you and watching how your reach is expanded who you're able to meet through the people that you already know. And last week's podcast I mentioned that I am like so full of energy and so on fire because I have this new program that I am creating for you. And I am just so excited about it.
