I am so passionate about helping women real estate agents build referral based businesses, because one, women are so freaking amazing at this. We're natural connectors. And this is one of the major missing pieces I find that women agents who aren't enjoying their business or they're feeling like they can't get their business beyond a certain point. I usually find it's because they are misaligned and how they're growing their business. What they're doing to get business, how they're doing their lead generating doesn't fit within their values and doesn't feel good. Plus, not to mention if you are doing all of the lead gen yourself or a big part of it is you're doing it yourself. It's a lot of energy to expend to constantly be chasing leads Okay, we don't want to chase, we want to be chaste. We want to attract, right? We want the leads to come to us, it feels so much better when the leads are coming to you, right? Like when the clients are coming to you, versus feeling like you have to go after them, and you have to pursue them. And you have to overcome the objections and follow up and do all of these things, to try to get them to be your client. And all of those things can work. It's just does that actually feel good to you? Is that sustainable for you? Is that how you want to grow your business. And for some people, it totally aligns. And that's awesome. But for the ones that don't feel like it aligns, you want a different way to do business, to grow your business and feel really good about it feel pursued in your business. Building a referral based business is exactly that. Let me share a stat with you, that blows my mind. And you may have heard me share this before, but it is so crazy to me. Now, our stats for 2021 was that 91% of agents reportedly did not follow up with their past clients after closing blows my mind because your past clients are such gold mines. Plus, think of how close you get with your clients. During this time. Even if you had such a short window, like they found their house and bought it right away, or they sold it right away. Even during that time. It's a really big deal. And you get really close in a really short amount of time, we seriously get to know these people. So well. I mean, we see their dynamics together, we get to know you know, basically their finances and what they need for their family. I mean, there's so many things that bring you close with these clients. And then to think that 90% of agents afterwards, it's like crickets. And I get it because I did this for a long time because I was paralyzed by what do I do? How do I follow up. And a lot of the people that were telling me to follow up, were telling me to follow up in a way that was like, call and text your clients and see how they're doing and ask for referrals. And that did not feel good to me at all. So because I didn't want to do that. I ended up not following up with them at all, because I don't know, I just didn't know what to do. And then I got my first referral. And it was so easy. It was, of course, an ideal client. And I realized, I want to create a business, where this is how I get my business, I just bring in referrals referrals are coming to me, because they already know like, and trust me, and I'm still young in the business at this point. I'm like maybe three years in, and I wrote down, I want to have a referral based business. And the goal for me was I want a referral based business within a year, which everyone at the time was telling me, that's not possible, it's not possible, you have to be in the business for five to seven years, because people only move every five to seven years. Or you know, you have to build up your client base your past client base, or they were telling me I would have to constantly call my sphere and ask for referrals. If I wanted to create this referral type business, which you already know, is so not my thing. And that's not what I wanted to do. But I wrote it down with the full intention of creating it, of manifesting this referral based business at the time, I totally did not know how to do it, I had no idea. But I did have a clear list and a clear idea of what I didn't want to do, of how I didn't want to grow this business, which conveniently ended up leaving me with a few ways that I could build my business. I was so adamant on creating a business, creating my life and my finances to be exactly what I wanted it to be. And I wanted to get there in a way that I wanted to continue. I was no longer available for doing things just to get there for doing things. You know, doing the hustle doing the things that didn't align with me doing the things that I hated. In order to get there like that wasn't for me anymore. I wanted to find a way to do my business to get there to get to the next level. But also in the same way find that that thing takes me to a nother next level. That the way that I'm creating my life, the way I'm creating my business. The way that I'm manifesting money is sustainable, to continue to continue to continue. Not that it's going to I'm going to do this just to get me to this certain level. And then I'll figure out what to do and have the lifestyle I want, that wasn't for me anymore, I was like, I've already done so many things that I don't like, and that I can't see myself wanting to stay in this business if I have to continue to do these things. So I'm either going to create a business that fits into the lifestyle and the life that I'm creating for myself, or it's not going to work, and I'm going to find something else. So I created a way to build a referral based business in a short amount of time. That never ever requires you to actually ask for referrals, it's a beautiful thing, I'm telling you, that you don't even have to ask for it, the referrals start to come to you, the ideal clients start to come for you. And I had a very small amount of past clients at this time, because I was just getting off of a team where all of my past clients I was not able to market to. So I really didn't have that many past clients. And I didn't have that big of a sphere either. It was the energy, the belief and the strategy that I put into creating this referral based business. And within a year, over 50% of my business was referral based a year after that. It was like 65 or 70% of my business. And now of course, I'm at 100% and I have been for several years. And now I am so obsessed with seeing my commission Queen students light up when I give them the system, give them the strategy for this. Because finally, it's like the weight is lifted, you no longer have to do those things that you absolutely hate, you want to get to the part, that's all about helping amazing people. And that is what being referral based business is about. Referrals are also the easiest leads to convert, it's like for every referral that you get, you're almost guaranteed to convert that lead into becoming a client, there is so much ease and this so much joy in having referrals. And there is a lot of consistency in referrals, like there can be a lot of consistency. So what a lot of people say is like, well, you know, if you are referral based, you're not doing things regularly to get the cold leads. And that can be a little bit more predictable. And it's not true at all, you can create a system that is bringing in leads consistently. And the cost for marketing to create this referral based business can cost as little or as much as you want it to. It's what I love so much about it too is marketing to cold leads can be really expensive. Or an end, if it's not expensive. If it's like the scrappy type of way to go after cold leads, it's very, very expensive to your energy, like, you know, you're expending a lot of energy on that. And for referrals for your sphere for your past clients, for your vendors, it doesn't take a lot of energy. And it definitely doesn't have to take a lot of money either. And the more you put into it, the more it's really going to give back to you. Not in a numbers game way. But in a just reciprocal energy. It's the law of reciprocity, you give to me I give to you, and it's feels so good to give. And in the same way it feels so much more natural to receive after you have given. So let me tell you, the other stat is that like over 90% of clients say that they absolutely would use their realtor again, they would probably refer them even. And yet the number is so small for clients that have used the realtor again and even smaller for clients that have referred their agent to other people. Why is that? It's because the agents aren't following up. There's not that continued connection. When you are giving to your people when you are staying in connection with them. You are going to thrive in any market, you will have so much success. And I will stand by that. Even in a social media filled internet driven world that we live in today. Like everything is Google bubble type of thing. The number one way that people are finding their real estate agent is through a referral. If that doesn't tell you how powerful referrals are. I mean, seriously, that is incredible. It's still the number one way that people are finding their agent. Think about the last thing that you needed like the last plumber or electrician or hairstylist, whatever. You probably did some googling but then you also probably asked your family or your friends that you know recently had something similar done. Ask them you know, how did you like that and if they had a great experience, you're You're going to reach out to that person first, before you reach out to the person that even has five star reviews on Google. That's how powerful a referral is. Now, let me give you an idea of what it took for me to create this referral based business for myself. Back in 2017, I believe it was when I first created this system, put it in place. And it was the first year that I hit six figures. And it also was the first year that I worked less than I ever had. The next year, I doubled my business again, and I'm working even less next year doubled my business again. And I'm working even less, I'm traveling 100 days out of the year, if you're following now we're up to 2020 2020 comes and I decide I want to step into the coaching role, I start commission queen, and I do not do any of my money making activities, I pretty much stop all things because I'm like, I'm all in on commission clean, I'm all in on coaching. And I still receive referrals. I still grow my business while working less than 10 hours each week, like for sure less than 10 hours each week 2021 2022. Same thing, I am not doing a single thing. I'm not even continuing the system that I created, because I know that that will like bring so much business and I just really want to focus on commission queen. So I'm not doing any of those things. And I'm still getting referrals, I'm referring them out to other agents, some referrals I'm taking on because it looks like this. I go to Greece, you know, last month I go to Greece. And one of my biggest beliefs is that the more I travel, the more money I make. It's a belief and affirmation that I set a long time ago when I wanted to travel. So here I am in Greece. And I get a text message from a client that I have done lots of business with. And the text basically says, Hey, Becca, we're moving to a different state. And we'd like to get our house on the market within a week. Will you listed for us is in back? Yes, obviously we get the paperwork over to them, their houses on the market within the week. And of course, they get multiple offers within the first 48 hours, even in a shifting market. They got exactly what they wanted. And they said we love working with you. Because every time it is so easy. And this is it like this is what I teach agents. It's the manifestation piece. It's the energy piece, but it's also that referral piece and the strategy put together is such a beautiful thing. And it's so easy like this really is the ease that I'm talking about. There are still things that you're doing ease and easy does not mean you're not doing anything. There's still things that you're doing, but there's no resistance, there's ease, there's joy, there's trust in the entire process.
