And today's gonna be a quick episode, but it's going to be something that you will do. So I'm gonna give you a little exercise. And it's one that I actually did this week I did yesterday. And wow, I, I was so blown away by what I found doing this exercise. I was like, Okay, I have to share this with everybody. So what I want you to do is grab your notebook, grab a pen, and we are going to do some journaling, it's going to be a little bit different journaling, okay, this is going to be looking back at your last five years, where you are today, and where you're going to be in the next five years, and really assessing all of those things. Here's why this is important. When we are in the moment, in the current right now, we may have something that we really desire. And we're just like, What the heck, I haven't gotten this desire, yet. It hasn't manifested. And it feels like you've been stuck in this place for a really long time. But when we look back at what has happened in the last five years, chances are I'm going to guarantee that you have grown in so many areas that you didn't realize what quantum leaps you've had. So in the last five years, we want to see where that growth is. And there may also be some areas that have not had the growth that you may want. And so we can focus on those going forward, and then really creating this compelling vision for you in the next five years. Where do you want to go in the next five years, and we're gonna get into it, but like, I want you to create the most delicious, fantastic, compelling future for yourself. This vision is what drives you, it's what's going to get you up in the morning, and be excited for what you're creating this vision is what propels you forward. It's that desire for growth, that desire for more, that desire to create something bigger, something more something greater than what you have right now. And here's what's so beautiful about this exercise, because when we look back on the five years before, there are going to be so many things that you are going to be amazed by where like how far you've come in those five years. So we can have such gratitude for where we are right now in the current and still see the future see more for ourselves. Be super honest with where you've been, where you're at, and where you want to go. Be so honest, so authentic, and real with yourself in this exercise. And make sure not to just write like, you know, one to two words. Write out full sentences of what happened, where you are now and where you desire to be. When we talk about the future, the vision, think huge, amazing. The biggest dreams that you can, okay, I want to see a 10 in all of these areas of your life. So get out your pen, get out your paper and your favorite journal. And here we go. I have 10 categories for you. First we're going to do five years ago. So write out five years ago, what that year would be and write out these 10 categories. Physical, this is going to be your health, your body, the physical, next is mental, your mental health things you're learning reading.
Next is emotional How's your emotional energy? Next is spiritual, whatever that means for you. Then living environment five years ago, where were you with that living environment? Next lifestyle? What did your lifestyle look five years ago? Career? What were you doing? How was your career five years ago? What position? Where are you in five years ago. Relationships, this can be with your significant other, or your family. Next is social. This can be your friends, networking, whatever this means to you. And lastly, financial, where were you financially five years ago. So your journal will look like this, it will have the category, and then write a few sentences next to each of those things of where you were at five years ago. And now next to the category, write a number one through 10 of what you would rate that category for yourself five years ago. So if you can't remember, and you're like, This is too long ago, I don't even know where I was. If you have some sort of social media account, go look at that five years ago and see where you were, what you were doing, it will jog your memory of what was happening five years ago. That's exactly what I did. I went back on my Instagram, and looked to see what I was doing five years ago, what was happening, what was I posting. And I started to get into that memory into those thoughts of what I was doing during that time. And I could not believe I am in such a different place. From now, from five years ago. I mean, five years ago, I didn't own a house. Five years ago, I was really having trouble in my marriage, because like I shared about getting your husband or your spouse into manifestation like that was the time that I was really trying to push certain things on him and had great expectations for him. So we were having kind of a difficult time in our marriage. And five years ago, I was not anywhere near where I wanted to be in my business. It was right before my business started to take off. But it was still in the time that I felt like I had to work so so hard my business, we were still 50,000 some dollars in debt, and certainly did not have any assets, or investments or anything. And man, it was so different from where I am today in just five years. And sometimes I get wrapped up into like, I wish that I was farther along than where I am. Now. Sometimes it seems like it's so slow. But then when I looked back at that five years ago, and where I am now comparing it is incredible. And that's why I love this exercise, because especially with social media, it's so common to compare ourselves to other people. And it should never be that way. It should be comparing yourself, it's you against you in the past. It's you creating a better future and having that progress for yourself and seeing that difference. Having gratitude for where you've been the lessons you've learned, the lessons you're learning, and where you're going. So I hope that you get great insight from this. And I know some of you there are going to be struggles in the last five years, I'm sure and so some areas may be down they may have had the opposite of growth. And that's what this exercise is for is just to open up your mind to see what needs to change. What are you doing fantastic with and what could you do better at
where does the growth need to happen? So then take the same, the same 10 things and go through where you are currently. Right Eat each one and write about where you are right now physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, living environment, lifestyle, career, relationships, social and financial. Right out where you are now. And I want you to write about where you've come from, what's the difference from five years ago to now and write out that difference. So you can really see how far you've come, you can see the growth. And you can also see the areas that maybe didn't have that growth, and why that was, and then how you can go forward. So rate each one for currently. And then, then the very, very fun part is creating that vision for five years in the future. And I want you to put every single one of these as a 10. Because these all can be a 10. For you. If you don't have each one as 10, then you're not having that compelling vision. We want this compelling vision for you, in five years from now, creating this big vision to help that growth. Physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, living environment, lifestyle, career, relationships, social financial, what do those look like? At a 10? For you? What would that mean, to be a 10? What would it look like? What would it feel like? What would that be for you? Five years in the future? Having a level 10 of all of these things? And then take a look at the gap. Where's the gap from where you are right now to being the 10 that you're creating? What needs to change? What could you do today, that could help you get one step closer to being that 10. And it doesn't have to take a full five years to get to a 10. A 10 could easily happen next year, two years, six months from now, who knows? But writing out what that looks like for you. As you're doing this, if you want to put some five bead music on and just begin to visualize. And what do you see five years in the future from now, as you're creating your dream life? What does that look like? And what does that require? Who does that require you to become an embody that person that lives at a level 10 in those areas.
And you'll get all of the answers that you need. Let this vision, this dream, guide you and drive you. When we have these big, compelling visions. It's like the universe makes things happen in our favor to get us there. We finally have this clear picture, this clear intention of where we want to go. And things start to fall in place, things start to happen for you. And you're gonna start seeing these things come into play for you. Like all of a sudden, this is going to feel a whole lot easier. Because you are getting clear. This is one of the best ways to get clear on those intentions, on where you're going. Everything is happening in your favor, your success is inevitable. Having this strong vision is where things start to show up in your reality that is like miracles, you have no idea how they're happening, but they are happening for you. Something else I love about this exercise is you can see that those struggles that you had five years ago, you can see how they turned out to be something that was good. Or those things those desires that you didn't get five years ago at the time was for a reason. It turned out to be that something even better came for you something even better showed up in your reality because it's always this or something better. And when we zoom out, we have the perspective of seeing how the past things that we were disappointed in are the past struggles that we had. Were for a reason. So now if you can look at if there are any struggles or any things that you're going through right now, you can see that In five years from now, you will be so much farther along. And you'll be able to see why this happened, why you didn't get that desire, why those things didn't manifest the way that you thought or that you wanted them to manifest in your life.
