Now let's get into today's episode, let's talk about what to do when things are not working what to do, when you are not getting the business that you want. Your pipeline isn't as full as you'd like, you know what I'm talking about where you feel like you're kind of spinning your wheels, you feel like you're doing all of the things. And yet, you are not getting the business that you'd like or any business for that matter. Maybe you're feeling like you're totally stuck at a standstill, and you're wondering what the heck do I do? Now, I've done all of the things I feel like I can do. And I just keep working, keep pushing myself keep hustling, and nothing is working. Nothing is showing up for me and my pipeline is totally dry. Whenever I have a client that comes to me feeling like this, the first thing I ask them is okay, whereas your energy truly is the energy I need to make money in this desperation feeling or feeling like I need to get clients because I need to show that I'm successful and that I'm working? Or is the energy in desire of how great would it feel to have clients? How great would it feel to have ideal clients show up and have closings for five 610 closings per month? And how great would it feel to have the money in my bank account? Most likely the energy is in that lack scarcity, desperation, feeling and I don't want to shame anybody for that. And I, you know, I don't want to downplay that, because a lot of people are in situations and this may be you, where you do need the money. So it's hard not to feel in that desperate mode. If you absolutely need a closing in order to pay your rent next month or the month after, girl, I feel you and that is a very, very real thing. And so I don't want to downplay that, I want to encourage you to shift the way that you're going to be thinking about it to shift the way where your energy is going. So if you could shift your energy instead of focusing on all of those things that are going to go wrong if you do not get your clients. So if you're focusing on like, okay, no clients are coming in, here are all the things that are happening and could get worse and worse and worse if I don't get clients, and it just starts to snowball is this Giant, scary thing. So if you can shift your energy instead to being of desire, of all of the things that could go right that you would so enjoy, if you were getting those clients. So thinking about Wow, how amazing would it be if right now, I had two clients in the next week, come into me ready to buy or sell with me? How would that feel? How great would it be that I would be able to serve them because I know I'm I am a kick ass realtor. Right? How amazing would it be to have six figures in my bank account? To be able to not just pay my rent but to buy my dream house. Often when people are in a low point, especially with finances, they start to think of what do I need just enough to get by, like, what would be just enough to get by, I would be totally happy with that I don't need six figures in my bank account. I just need $3,000 Next week.

And so instead, you start thinking of only what is enough. And that's not really what you want. That's not your true desire that doesn't inspire you. That makes you feel like I am a failure. And I can't even get just enough to survive. You see the difference in those two things. And those two ways of thinking, when leads you, one inspires you, one raises you up and raises that vibration of excitement and looking forward to and the other one drags you down. So yes, it's pushing forward in pain, which can be a motivator. But what if you could think of, if I don't just freakin go for it, and have all of these other big dreams, is my life just gonna be this mediocre way forever. If you're feeling stuck in the just trying to get by just trying to get enough, you need to raise your financial thermostat, raise your lifestyle thermostat, so that you see what else is out there for you. You explore other things that you would love to have in your life, how you'd love to live, and start to think more about those things. And the pain of not getting those if you're looking for pain as a motivator, because right now you are right now that motivator is you not being able to pay rent or you not being able to have the clients that you wanted for that month. But it is so much more than that. It's not just about getting by, it's not just about hitting those poll numbers. It's understanding why. And it's understanding the true desire behind all of those things. And also trusting that you are going to have the right clients show up for you so that you can serve them and that you are the best person to serve them. So aside from shifting your energy, from that lack to desire, a lot of coaches a lot of the real estate people will tell you the main thing that you have to do right now is say it with me, we generate more, right, we're sick of hearing just to lead generate more, like that's the answer to every single question in real estate. Is lead generating important. Absolutely. So choose the right lead generating for you make sure that your lead generating is aligned with you make sure you're having those money making activities, knowing exactly which activities are going to bring you clients and focusing on those things, set a certain amount that you'll do weekly or bi weekly, monthly, quarterly, and do those things. And then after you've done them, don't keep like harping on yourself to get more done. You know what I mean? If you're feeling like I don't have any business, so I just have to keep doing the work, I have to keep adding more things onto my plate different ways to potentially get business different ways that will mark it my business. Know that you've done the work, like when you do the work. Let that be enough. And know that the clients are coming to you, the ideal clients will come to you. And in your free time, if you have free time, do something that you love, do something that will actually let you up and don't feel guilty for it. Enjoy it because that is the best way to raise that vibration. So that you are attracting clients that are loving you loving your energy. And you're in that energy of desire instead of desperation because I so believe that clients can sense that, you know, when you're just feeling desperate and feeling like I need to get a closing. And so you'll do anything for these clients that will just run you into the ground and end up having like a horrible transaction. We don't want that. We want to have amazing ideal clients and amazing transaction experiences on both sides for you and for the client. So if you have some free time, go and take a walk or go to a coffee shop that you love, and just be in the energy of that. Go hang out with a friend and feel total joy without guilt. I know back in 2016 When I went months and months and months without a closing. I was like exhausted doing everything I thought I should do I could do to get more business, I was doing things that I absolutely hated things that didn't align with me, just because I was so desperate for clients honestly desperate for income so that I could pay my bills. And I had so much free time, essentially. But I just stayed at my house and tried to think of things that I could do to work on, even if some of those things didn't even have to do with money making activities. If it was somewhat real estate related, I would just sit and do that all day long. It was not productive at all. And when I did go to hang out with friends or family, especially during like working time, or like, during the day, I felt so guilty. So guilty, I felt like I was being bad that I wasn't worthy of spending my free time doing something I loved, because I hadn't made the money because I didn't have any clients. And the minute, like really the minute like the first time, I finally shifted that and said, You know what, I don't have any clients. And I'm gonna go hang out with my friends. And so instead of feeling guilty, I'm just going to actually enjoy it. When I did that, when I took time for myself and said, Yes, I am worthy of this. And I don't have to be desperate. And I don't have to just force myself to do everything that I hate. Because I don't have business, I don't need to punish myself. That is when business started coming to me. And I was like, Okay, I am onto something. So I kept doing it, I kept doing more things that I enjoyed both in the ways that I was doing lead generating, and in just how I was structuring my day and what I was doing in my weeks. Now, I know this is super counterintuitive for most, it was for me to when I started doing it. But watch the results that you get, you will be such a happier person, you'll have less burnout in your life and in your business. And you will receive those ideal clients much faster than you ever would have, just by doing a lead generating more. Now, if shifting your energy to desire and increasing your financial and lifestyle thermostat, don't work and choosing money making activities that align with you and doing what you enjoy. Okay, this tip is so so good. And it will completely transform your business. Okay, with all of those other things that I already mentioned,

make sure that you are giving value, make sure that you're giving value every single week, to your sphere, to your past clients, to your current leads. Anybody that is somebody that you can market to or lead generator, you know, whatever you want to call it, be sure that it's actual value, I find that a lot of people doing lead generating, they feel really bad for bugging people, right? If you're just doing calls, or email blasts, and whatever, if you are giving value, not only are you gonna love it, you're gonna feel a lot better about the way that you're interacting with people. But your sphere or your past clients, or like, you know, whoever's on the other side of this is going to see that shift. And they will want to work with you or they will want to refer you right away. It's that value piece that is so so huge. It's not just calling to see if you can work with somebody or help them to buy, sell and invest real estate. It's so beyond that. How can you give value to them? How can you have a genuine connection with them? People are so over the regular sales, marketing, bro marketing, they're so over it just the marketing without connection. The piece that is missing, especially in 2022 is connection, that connection and that value. So when I say value, it's not necessarily giving them something of real estate value. You know, a lot of people go their mind goes to a free CMA or a neighborhood report or something like that. And it's beyond that. It doesn't have to be real estate related. It can be real estate related, but it has to be something of value that will connect you something that makes you human to them or shows them that they are human too. To you, that you actually care about them. And you're not just trying to get their business, they're not just another number that you truly care about them. So what could you do to connect and give value, maybe it's looking on Instagram or Facebook or whatever social media platform and seeing what's going on in their lives and connecting with them in a real way through that sending them a gift or sending them a text, or hosting a little event for people or, or doing a family photo day for people, or having a game day for kids. Anything to connect, and give value to your people. And if you don't have people, you don't have past clients, you know, you don't know a lot of people in your area, have community events really connect and get in your community, set yourself up for success in having clients come to you, being that referral based means that clients are going to be coming to you. So you don't constantly have to chase after them. This may not be an immediate thing, although it very, very often can be. But it will be something that is long term. And you'll hit a tipping point where all of a sudden, you don't have to do anything. And the clients are coming to you. Imagine how good that would feel. Think about that right now. Wherever you are, with whatever type of business that's going on right now. Think of doubling your business, tripling your business, and not having to work harder, not having to add more hours not having to do all of the activities that you hate, you're letting those ideal clients come in to you. They're saying I'm motivated, I'm excited to work with you, and I'm ready to go. That's that referral based business and you can create it, provide value shifts your energy, first and foremost, shift your energy so that you're in that state of desire, and you're focused on that desire, and provide value to your clients. And whatever you're doing, make sure that it's providing value and not just doing something, just to do it doing an activity, just to hope that you're gonna get business or to say that while I did that, so, oh, well, if I'm not getting business, I did it. Those you can cut out because they are not productive. That's why I love focusing on money making activities, the activities that align with you. Just think about how your life would change what would be different in your life, if you had clients ready to work with you, without all of the stuff that you hate, right, without having hours and hours of just dead and regenerating focus on this and know that this can happen for you. I wrote down when I had zero business that I wanted to be 100% referral based. And I put it up on the wall, right by my desk. And I always looked at that. In the very beginning. I thought Yeah, right. Like, how am I ever going to get to that? Because right now, I'm not getting any business. And within a year, I became 100% referral based. So I know you're asking like, but back, I still don't have business and how is that gonna help me? It will help you focus on what you want focus on being that referral based business. And what could you do to provide value that brings clients brings the community brings past clients back to you, again, telling their friends telling their family to work with you create a business that you're proud of. One that if you were on the other side, if you were on the receiving end of these things that you would be so grateful for so excited about and you would absolutely make sure that your friends and family knew who to work with if they were buying and selling real estate, I think it's so important to figure out what is it that you enjoy and do those same things in your business, for your leads for your community, for your clients, for your past clients. Because if I get a cold call, do I enjoy it? Not at all. I try to get off the phone as soon as possible. If I get somebody random coming to my door, do I enjoy it? No, I don't even open the door I try to Hi, you know and so if I'm trying to do those same things to get business it does not align. So what would you love? What would you love to receive? And do that same thing for your clients or for you know, I keep saying clients but for your sphere for your community for your leads. Do those same things for them that you would love and I guarantee you will stand out and they will see the connection they will see there real connection, see you as human and feel that you care about them. And they are not going to go anywhere else when they are buying and selling real estate.
